Doncaster based software company Engaged CRM limited has bought the business and assets of Sheffield lead generators Seed Internet Marketing Ltd.
We were in a position to offer Seed’s redundant staff alternative employment with Engaged CRM
Insolvency practitioners at Wilson Field brokered the deal for Engaged. The company, based on Ten Pound Walk in Doncaster, will be purchasing the Electric Works-based Seed.
The pay-per-click and SEO services company had experienced problems paying backdated VAT liabilities. As a result, it has been bought out by supplier Engaged who will absorb the assets into its portfolio.
Joanne Wright, insolvency practitioner at Wilson Field said; “My colleague Lisa Hogg and I were appointed joint administrators to Seed Internet Marketing Limited on March 29.
“The administration was for the purpose of an organised wind down with four staff being made redundant. The relationship between the two companies meant there was a strong synergy which Engaged will take forward.”
Carl Kroger, a spokesman for Engaged CRM said; “We were in a position to offer Seed’s redundant staff alternative employment with Engaged CRM, but the offers were not taken up.”
