Harley World in top gear for golf at Wilson Field Annual Golf Day
Representatives from the main Harley-Davidson UK Motorcycle dealer in Chesterfield beat off tough competition from 11 other teams including Winterhill Largo, Hawsons, Lloyds TSB, Hebblethwaites and HLW Keeble Hawson at the annual Wilson Field golf day.
Staff from Chesterfield’s Harley World swapped two wheels for two feet for a successful golf day.
The event at Abbeydale Golf Club in Sheffield helped raised £1,800. This goes into the coffers for the business and turnaround specialists’ Master Cutler’s Challenge fundraising efforts.
Organiser Jo Chan from Wilson Field said;
“Accountants, solicitors, bankers and valuers all gathered for a fantastic day of golf on a lovely sunny day to help us raise £1,800 for the challenge. Congratulations to Harley World who came out victors.”
“No-one won the hole in one competition so a brand new Subaru BRZ sat there waiting patiently at the 18th hole! Perhaps next year!”
Wilson Field’s next fundraising event for the challenge takes place on Sunday August 3. A Bands in the Barn event will take place at Whirlow Hall Farm from 4-11.45pm. Abbeydale Brewery will run the bar and Whirlow Farm will supply their famous BBQ.
The confirmed line up for the event features ex Human League member Russ Dennett and his band Junkyard Dog; family trio Absolute Beginners, James Lamb, Carnival and Vyndictive.
The Master Cutler Challenge, sponsored by Sheffield Forgemasters International, encourages companies to turn £100 into as much money as they can. They will give then this to two chosen charities within six months. Since it first launched in 2008, the challenge has inspired companies, organisations, schools and individuals to raise in excess of half a million pounds for local causes.
This year’s two good causes are Whirlow Hall Farm Trust and Sheffield Hospitals Charity Jessop Wing neonatal intensive care and maternity hospital.
We are once again incredibly proud to say that the Wilson Field annual golf day was a success, and we were proud to raise such a good amount in support of the Master Cutler’s Challenge fundraising effort.
