Wilson Field Ltd, business turnaround and insolvency specialists has raised more than £10,000 for its chosen charity. Now, staff are limbering up to raise more as they take on the annual 10k run in Sheffield.

Jumping out of planes, battling through mud or taking on the Bupa Great Yorkshire Run –there is nothing one Sheffield company will not do to raise money for Neurocare.

Twelve Wilson Field employees are in training for Bupa Great Yorkshire Run on September 2nd. They’re running to show their continued support for Neurocare who raise funds for Neurosciences Department at Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Wilson Field has entered the run’s Business Challenge, where teams from a range of companies compete for the fastest average time.

Nick Wilson, Managing Director, said; “Wilson Field has supported Neurocare for more than three years with a variety of fundraising initiatives, raising more than £10,000.

“We are always coming up with new ways to fundraise for the local charity and the events are always really enjoyable.”

Emma Douglas, Neurocare’s Head of fundraising and PR said: “Wilson Field has always been a fantastic supporter of Neurocare.

“The funds raised by them help save and change lives. As a result of contributions like Wilson Field’s over the years, we now have some of the best, most advanced brain equipment in the UK.”

The last fundraiser the firm organised was a five-a-side tournament at the HSBC Sports Ground in Dore. It attracted 13 teams made up from a variety of Sheffield businesses and raised £540.

A raffle has also been held recently. Wilson Field case administrator, Katie Goulding, won a parachute jump which she’s going to use to raise further funds for Neurocare.

Another extreme fundraiser is already planned for November! Case administrator Andrew Bilby, and insolvency practitioner, Rod Dymond will be competing in the special-forces based challenge – Tough Mudder.

The hardcore 12-mile obstacle course includes wading through underground mud tunnels, jumping through fire, plunging into ice-water and climbing over 12-foot walls.
