Jobs saved as roofing supplies business bought!
The business and assets of a Wales based roofing supplies company has been bought from administration saving 16 jobs.
Jobs have been saved at Cardiff Roofing Supplies established in 1983. They have branches in Cardiff, Bridgend and Newport and an annual turnover of more than £6million.
However, the company was suffering financial difficulties leading to Robert Dymond and Lisa Hogg, from insolvency and recovery specialists Wilson Field, being appointed as administrators on 1 August 2013.
Lisa Hogg, Director and Insolvency Practitioner said,
“The business had been experiencing financial difficulties and as administrators, we sought a purchaser.”
“We are pleased to have secured the deal, which will see 16 staff retain their jobs, whilst also giving the best return possible to creditors.”
The Cardiff office of Wilson Field, headed by Jon Law, assisted with the sale of the assets of the business to local builders’ merchants Robert Price (Roofing Supplies) Ltd, part of the Robert Price Group. The deal will see all 16 staff move across to the other company.
Robert Price Group has branches across South Wales stocking a range of building products and materials for tradesmen, self-builders and DIY enthusiasts.
